the international centre for water management services

 

cewas is the Swiss-based international centre of competence in the field of sustainable sanitation and water resource management. It is a unique institution combining advanced education and support to start up a business. It builds up SMEs that can offer technical and managerial expertise in the field of sustainable sanitation and water management to national and international organisation and private clients.

Each year, the cewas Start-Up Centre hosts young students and graduates that have a strong motivation to advance their skills related to sustainable sanitation and water management and to start up their own business. Participants of the Start-Up programme follow 6 modules of advanced education in the cewas Training Centre and get personal coaching from a core group of international high-level experts from research and practice (the cewas Think-Tank), bringing in their experience, expertise and the current state-of-the-art knowledge of the sector. 

The cewas Training Centre offers are open not only to cewas Start-Ups but everybody interested in sustainable sanitation and water management: individuals or groups of individuals who want to increase their knowledge in regard to water and sanitation; organisations who want to advance their members’ skills; professionals who want to position themselves strategically in the global water and sanitation sector; etc. 

Successful Start-Ups move on to the cewas Business Platform and offer their services in the field of sustainable sanitation and water management on the market. They get home-base support and continuous backstopping form the cewas community and network. Forming a cluster of Start-Ups with complementary specialisations, the office-sharing community from the cewas Business Platform can offer integrated solutions to national and international organisations and private clients.
