About the Think-Tank

The cewas Think-Tank is the central institution providing backstopping to cewas. Think-Tank members (international senior experts and practitioners) support Start-Ups in the development of their business idea and during its implementation and ensure suitable strategic and practical orientation. Members of the Think-Tank cover a large field of the state-of-the-art competences from the sector and they bring in their track record and network. Besides coaching of cewas Start-Ups, they provide ongoing advice, consultancy and support to cewas SMEs form the Business platform. 

The roles and responsibilities of cewas Think-Thank members are described as follows:

  • Identify key emerging issues in the water, sanitation and waste sector
  • Identify the areas with the greatest need for business development
  • Identify main areas where new business should primarily be developed
  • Identify directions where new water management services shall be provided
  • Provide an outlook on where cewas will stand two years from now and how the water and waste sector will develop
  • Coaching of cewas Start-Ups
  • Backstopping of cewas SMEs
  • Ensure that 'cewas does the right things' (vs. the cewas Training Centre: 'do the things right')
