For the Center for Mediterranean Integration of the World Bank, we have organised a 2-year cycle of Hackathon – for idea generation/motivation, Bootcamp– for intense training of idea and business development, start-up programme participation – for coaching, matchmaking, networking. The cycle is targeting youth from the Mediterranean with ideas tackling water and climate related challenges mainly in North Africa and the Middle East. 61 promising candidates participated in the e-Hackathon in 2020 and developed high-potential ideas that are further developed in the e-Bootcamp. The best solutions developed and refined during the bootcamp will participate in cewas Middle East’s green entrepreneurship start-up programme in the region. The start-up programme will include face-to-face training modules and at least 12 months of coaching.
