Water Entrepreneurship Fellowship

While children and young people are most often seen as primary victims of the local and global water-related problems, there is an increasing focus on the potential of young people as solution providers for these same problems. cewas exists to address these barriers and is strongly committed to empowering young entrepreneurs in low and middle-income countries by helping them become local water solution providers, through the provision of technical and financial support for water and sanitation businesses. The Water Entrepreneurship Fellowship aims to support dedicated entrepreneurs between 20 and 35 with the necessary tools and skills to develop their convincing ideas for a sustainable and inclusive development of the water sector. The fellowship covered the candidate’s fees to attend the cewas Start-up Programme as well as travel, accommodationand food costs and gives them access to a wide network of international experts.The selected candidatesparticipated in a face-to-face training for one month in 2018 in Switzerland and Sweden, which was fol-lowed by 9-months remote coaching.
