Blue Peace Middle East Junior Media Hub is a regional capacity-building initiative that focuses on advancing transboundary Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus journalism and advocacy across the Middle East (Jordan, Turkiye, Lebanon, Iraq, and to some extent Syria and Iran).
Our goal is to secure factual, impactful, and solution-driven WEFE stories by empowering media professionals and youth advocates, enhancing regional coverage and quality, and advancing water diplomacy.
We translate specialized knowledge into compelling public media through three key pillars:
- Capacity Building: A tailored mentorship program for journalists, media professionals, and youth fellows, focusing on cross-border investigative reporting, storytelling techniques, and innovative media tools and production.
- Knowledge Transfer: Facilitating direct,multi-directional knowledge-sharing between scientific experts, policymakers, and media professionals. We bridge the gap between technical data and public understanding to ensure a collective understanding of transboundary water stories.
- Content Production: Supporting the collaborative production and dissemination of original, unbiased media pieces such as videos, articles, and specialised social media campaigns and podcasts on critical transboundary WEFE issues in reputable regional and international outlets.
