MENA RIH: Iraq Call for Innovations is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

This programme addresses barriers to sustainable food production through efficient use of water and energy along the value chain. It aims to enhance food security, support gender equality, and reduce poverty in an environmentally sustainable manner.

WE4F has allocated USD 1.4 million in technical assistance and grants for this initiative in Iraq, with individual awards ranging from USD 60,000 to 150,000. The programme is currently underway, with awardees implementing their projects to meet agreed-upon milestones.
