Entrepreneurial solutions play a crucial role in solving water-related challenges and the water sector provides an interesting array of both commercial and impactful opportunities. There are lots of high-potential business models across the world, however, the pipeline of start-ups and enterprises in the water sector is often not able to scale their operations, especially when sector-specific acceleration services are missing. Therefore, we designed this handbook to encourage and guide readers in their journey of acceleration, whether that is as a supporter of acceleration or as an enterprise ready to enter the acceleration stage.
The handbook is based on many years of experience supporting over 300 social water entrepreneurs worldwide considering the complexity of water and its related sectors, as well as the different market conditions affecting water-related enterprises and the broad array of solutions and growth trajectories.
It is a unique knowledge product at the nexus of water, entrepreneurship and acceleration and we hope that both entrepreneurs and those seeking to support them can benefit from the insights that we share.
